Justin Williams Eliminated because of my Blog?

Do you want to hear something funny but a little weird as well? Several members of the Williams family including Christi and Bryant Williams have been commenting at my other blogs or emailing me stating the blog post on Justin Williams is the reason Justin was “kicked off the show”.

Christi Williams conacted me via my contact form

justin williams

Hi Kristy,
I was wondering if you could help me out. My brothers name is Justin Williams and some how his picture ended up on the American Idol portion of your website under season 8 Auditions. I need to know who posted that picture of him and Aunt Christi. They kicked him off the show because of that picture and Justin was terribly sad. We need to know who is responsible. I really do appreciate it. Thank you.

Bryant Williams

My Reply

As a huge fan of American Idol I find it flattering that you think my simple personal scrapbook so important that AI would remove a contestant because of it but I am positive this is not the case. If he has been a contestant (information I have no access to whatsoever) and was cut from the show I am truly sorry. That must be very difficult emotionally for the entire family. But, I am just a every day girl who is just a big fan & I have no control over that.

A visitor to my site, Dan Adkins, left a message on my site about Justin being on American Idol next season. I merely commented on that. The picture of Justin and his aunt Christi was posted by his aunt Christi at her family Blog. The videos were already at You Tube. I certainly never meant any harm it’s quite the opposite in fact.

The above are quoted from Bryant Williams Comments as well as my reply
Original post on Justin Williams

While I am so sorry he didn’t make as far as he would have liked. I just don’t see how my post that includes a family picture with his aunt & videos posted at YouTube (not uploaded by me as they claim) could have had anything to do with it.

I would love to hear others opinions on this.

I am confused! There is no doubt he was one of the best(top 10) contestants. Why would they kick him off for that? There are others on you tube as well. Someone please clarify this for me?

idol removes a lot of good singers for people who can bump up their ratings.. (e.g. Tatiana, Nick/Normand, Von, etc.) They even sent Joanna Pacitti to the final elimination round (and shes rumored to be in the Top 36)..

now to be fair, i have watched White Chocolate’s performance and as far as Justin’s performance was, he wasnt exacty the best out there.. he can sing, yes, but he was in a group with Matt, Kris and India. he was the weakest of the four.

what shocked me more was they sent India Morrison home too, i really liked her because she was really original (heads up idol! ballads, RnB and soul songs are NOT the only music people listen to!).. I thought their performance on group day was the best.. which proves my point - good singers get kicked for entertainment.

      Christi,

If you are such a fan, and the person you are supporting asks you to remove something from your website because it might hurt your chances, and your only reply is “I find it flattering that you think my simple personal scrapbook so important that AI would remove a contestant because of it but I am positive this is not the case”, then you need to open your eyes up a little. Having now associated your blog with the name of a contestant on a National show like American Idol allows anyone who does a search for Justin and find your “simple personal scrapbook” and read its entries…and by anyone…that includes AI production personnel. How do I know? Because I just did it…go figure.

I find it disheartening that you would refuse to take down your comments for a week or two to allow for the revelation of the actual Final 36 or even Top 12 in order to help Justin not be disqualified. Or, should you choose not to remove the comments, at least word them in such a way as to “hope” not report.

Frankly, the fact that Justin, his Aunt, and his brother Bryant all had to ask and you still denied their requests makes me sad for Justin and his family.

Please do the right thing until something solid has been announced. Until then, just root for Justin like the rest of us.

      Thank you.

        Hi Hayley,

First, Justin has NEVER EVER contacted me asking me anything.

I was never asked to “remove comments or he would be removed” or similiar. Had something been requested like you state I would have done so right away. I was told to remove a picture as it had him disqualified. A picture his aunt had publicly posted at her site too. Everything in my original post was already available on the internet. The post was nice polite.

From the bits and peices of information I have collected Justin was disqualified because his family members(which I am not) blogging. Not my fault. I think AI just wanted to keep the Top 36 as hush hush as possible and prevent leaks. And thats not an easy thing to do. It’s not fair to blame me.

BTW My name is spelled Kristy or Kristeen…. never with a Ch or i Thanks

        • Patricia says:

Kristy Timothy, so you have 5 kids and you still have time for this crap?? We all know you can spell your name but in every of your comments you have misspelled at least 5 words. How about you become a real good fan of your kids and cleaning your house and leave Justin and his family ALONE!! If you have a so much free time go be available for your husband.

P.S. how about reading?? that can be a good hobby and it can help you with your spelling.

    4. May says:

“I wish reading paid the bills for 5 kids. LOL”

I wish watching American Idol, scrapbooking, and ruining some young boy’s dream will pay the bills for your five kids a big time.

      • Kristy says:

        Hi May,

While your wording is a little off yes I pay all the bills for my five kids myself all thru online activity and even thru watching AI. I work 100% from home always apart of what my family is doing. None of my children have ever been to “Day Care” and live a normal healthy life. I do NOT receive welfare from the government of any kind like food stamps, or even child support for that matter (but I am trying to get help but Dad isn’t doing his part, yet).

I think you, Hayley & Patricia need to find a better way to release all your anger before it eats you up. Life is too short. I did nothing wrong & this issue has been resolved. Justin was disqualified from AI because of his family bogging. I am not related to him in anyway. The situation was totally out of my control. Personally I think you should direct your anger towards AI who let a very talented young man slip thru their fingers for a very stupid reason.

    5. Mark says:

Wow! I was a tad amused that a family would think there Nephew/Brother lost on AI due to a posting in a blog, especially when the posting was flattering and not defamatory in the least; but I must say I am stunned by the responses of some of the individuals who have posted before my reply. Grow up people. And Kristy, keep up the great work with your sites; I much enjoy them. I also think it is great you have found a way to work from home so you are there for your 5 kids (5 kids! … I get tired just thinking about it).
