Tonight, Tuesday, April 14 (8:00-9:01 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) the Top 7 finalists; Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Matthew Giraud, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds, and Anoop Desai will perform songs of the cinema under the guidance of director Quentin Tarantino in an “Idols at the Movies” themed performance show.

Tune in the following night Wednesday, April 15 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) to find out if the judges use their save or if America sends another finalist home. Also, Jennifer Hudson (Season 3, 7^th place) returns to the AI stage to perform her new single, “If This Isn’t Love,” and Miley Cyrus will sing “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie.”

Quentin Tarantino was a guest judge for Season 3’s Top 8 movie theme.

The word is that David Archuleta(Season 7, Runner Up) is going to perform next week on the Top 6 results show. Previous plans have been changed and Jordin Sparks(Season 6, Winner) will now perform on the Top 3 show the Archie was previously scheduled for. Also, Syesha Mercado (Season 7, 3rd Place) is said to be performing on the Top 5 Elimination show.

I have a few “hints” for song choices that are floating on the net. I can’t account for their accuracy but they sure can be entertaining!

A clue from Adam’s dad’s Facebook. “A Holler for Eddie’s Father.”

One of the back-up singers tweeted: “Songs from movies is the theme @ American Idol tonight! Rehearsal is proving to “separate the men from the boys” so to speak… I love it!”

Kris - I’ve heard “Falling Slowly” from the movie “Once” but I’m not sure how accurate that is?
