American Idol Season 8 Finale

American Idol Season 8 Finale

American Idol Season 8 Finalé

After a record setting 88 million votes we sent home the loveable Danny Gokey (If you have not watched this week AI Extra you must!). After 103,000 auditions the Nokia Theatre stage is finally set for the finale two contestants left standing. Adam Lambert & Kris Allen will face each other in the Finalé for the “Idol Crown” Tuesday, May 19, 2009 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) (7:00-8:00 PM MST tape-delayed). Kris won the coin toss after last Wednesday nights show. Kris has selected to let Adam go first. Yep that’s right Adam will not be last next (aka in “The Pimp Spot”) week. Season 8’s coronation song has been written by Kara. We will also most likely see Carrie Underwood (Season 4, Winner) perform “Home Sweet Home” by Mötley Crüe. Carrie, 19 Recordings, Sony Music Nashville, and iTunes are donating a portion of the sales proceeds of the “Home Sweet Home” digital single to The Humane Society of the United States.

Then the night we all wait for, the night we coronate a new American Idol winnr Wednesday, May 20th 2009 (8:00-10:07 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) (7:00-9:07 PM MST tape-delayed). Two hour and seven minutes of pure entertainment! Before Fox announces the winner of Season 8 the Top 13 contestants will perform for us. As with every other year the prior winner will appear to “pass on the crown”. So, we should see David Cook (Season 7, Winner). There are lots of rumors spreading on who will be appearing but as always I am sure there will be some surprises. I’m thinkin’ Normund Gentle/Nick Mitchell and/or Tatiana Del Torro … but am hoping for Season 7 contestants Amanda, Carly, Jason Castro, Archie, Brooke White, Michael Johns and lots of Cookie

Motley Crue Vince Neil American Idol

Ok so I am like this HUGE Mötley Crüe fan, I am a teen of the 80’s and have not let go. I had a ball at the SLC, Utah Crüe Fest last summer and am planning a trip to Denver for Crüe Fest 2 this summer. I have my Crüe Fest DVD and many other Mötley Crüe DVD’s and Videos. So it was easy for me to pick out Vince in last nights (April 21, 2009)audience on American Idol’s Disco Night. We all know Carrie Underwood (Season 4, Winner) has her version of Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home” as this years “Good Bye Song” But it’s being reported that Vince Neil would like to continue the relationship with American Idol Show. Maybe a Crüe Fest Night? Or Vince as celebrity mentor for the Rock theme week? I would pefer Nikki or the whole band. Yep, I am so game with a Mötley Crüe Night on AI!!! How about you?
