Scott Douglas MacIntyre, 23, auditioned in Phoenix, Arizona has certainly made his way to Hollywood week. But it is still uncertain weather he has made it to the Top 50 or even 36 contestants of American Idol Season 8.

I have spent a little time this morning getting to know this young man and wow. How impressive his story is. I so applaud his parents for making sure this talented young man had every opportunity in life possible. Scott is legally blind; he has two degrees of tunnel vision which means MacIntyre sees the world through a straw. The below biography is from his website. But what it doesn’t tell you is that Scott also had kidney failure in 2006 which he went on dialysis and even had a kidney transplant all the while still was trying to further his musical career.
