It’s Motown night!

Mowtown & Season 8 Top 10

On tonights, March 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) performance show, the Top 10 finalists (Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver, Allison Iraheta, Matthew Giraud, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre, Megan Joy Corkrey, and Anoop Desai ) will return to the IDOL stage to celebrate and pay tribute to “50 Years of Motown” as well as perform classic Motown songs.

Thursday, March 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) to find out if the judges use their save or if America sends another finalist home. Also, Smokey Robinson will perform, and American Idol Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard will return to the AI stage to perform his new single, “Together.”

Season 8 Big Surprise Top 12

I am such a big Idol fan. After last season and David Cook I am so excited to move further into the eighth season of AI. Mike Darnell did an interview recently that stated there are several surprises awaiting the Top 12 Finalists. Mike stated in the interview Sunday about the Top 12 surprise “It is something that will be talked about and is something I think that has some element of controversy surrounding it.”

They are keeping a tight lid on what the major surprise will be but there are several they are willing to discuss. A little.

Countdown to AI Season 8

When will American Idol Season 8 Begin?
The American Idol season always begins the 3rd or 4th week of January(see below), so it’ll either be the 13th/14th or the 20th/21st. Seeing as it’s gotten earlier each year, I personally think Season 8 will begin the 13th/14th.

Final 4 Rock N Roll Song Choice Rumors

It’s Tuesday, again! I just love Tuesdays! Tonights show will be 62 minutes(8:00-9:02 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) long as the final four contestants(David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook, and Syesha Mercado) sing 2 songs that shaped Rock n Roll from the “Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame”.

On Wednesday May 7th Top 4 Results show Maroon 5 will perform as will American Idol Alumni Bo Bice (Season 4, Runner-Up)

These song selection are rumors. I will post the official spoiler list with all four contestants later this afternoon (appox. 4 MST). Rehersal running late today
