Tonight, Tuesday, April 14 (8:00-9:01 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) the Top 7 finalists; Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Matthew Giraud, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds, and Anoop Desai will perform songs of the cinema under the guidance of director Quentin Tarantino in an “Idols at the Movies” themed performance show.

All Seven American Idol Winners

American Idol Background Song Names

What is the name of that song?

I’ve noticed that they’ve been playing a variety of songs in the background when contestants get their golden tickets, and especially songs from idols alumni. I love music so I’m curious what songs American Idol uses in the background during their shows like many of you out there.

Keep in mind that I’ll add every song I can identify, but I many will be missed.. So, if I missed and you know it please feel free to comment and I’ll get it added to this list.

I could really use some help keeping up with the songs. If you know any please let us know!!!

Countdown to AI Season 8

When will American Idol Season 8 Begin?
The American Idol season always begins the 3rd or 4th week of January(see below), so it’ll either be the 13th/14th or the 20th/21st. Seeing as it’s gotten earlier each year, I personally think Season 8 will begin the 13th/14th.

Fantasia & Home Town Visits

American Idol Alumni Fantasia Barrino (Season 3 Winner) is scheduled to perform “Bore Me“
on tonights one hour elimination show. (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed)
(8:00-9:00 PM MST tape-delayed). There will also be videos of the Final three’s hometown visits shown tonight. Syesha Mercado returned to Tampa, Florida; David Cook returned to Kansas City/Blue Springs, Missouri; and David Archuleta returned to Salt Lake City/Murray, Utah.
I live in Salt Lake and it was the first time AI has been here and it was amazing.
