It’s not long now. American Idols brand new season is about to begin. Television’s #1 show will see several changes in 2009 as well as some returning features from seasons past. Season 8 will begin Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 on FOX with a two-night, four-hour premiere complete with new judge. This year we will see a Top 36 instead of 24 and we will have a Wild Card night that the judge’s top 3 favorites will get a second chance. In addition Simon and Randy state that a few girls from Salt Lake City, Utah stood out in the auditions for them. Simon said something about a girl with tatoo’s??

When will American Idol Season 8 Begin?
The American Idol season always begins the 3rd or 4th week of January(see below), so it’ll either be the 13th/14th or the 20th/21st. Seeing as it’s gotten earlier each year, I personally think Season 8 will begin the 13th/14th.
